Simple, inexpensive and easy to use PDF protection methods are available, including versions where a customer can download only a specially-protected version of your PDF, and opened up on their computer using a special code. But here’s the critical part; such protection must not only be a password. It must also include live, real-time monitoring of when and from where (IP address) your file is being opened.

In this way, you can monitor who is opening your PDF files online, when and from where.

Additionally, such a PDF protection system must include the facility to withdraw access to your PDF files – at your discretion – from anyone you wish. Book Guard Pro is an easy-to use system that has all these features; code protection, live monitoring of PDF usage and the ability to withdraw access at any time.

I have a question concerning using Book Guard Pro for my website. I have an ebook that is already set up with a shopping cart and paypal. As of right now, the ebook is emailed to the purchaser. I want to secure this email from being copied to others. Can this program be used in a way that when they purchase the ebook, instead of the ebook being emailed to them, a link is emailed instead (web address) to get to your site for downloading the file? Is that how this works?

Hello Lana. Thanks for your query. Yes, you can certainly use BookGuardPro to do what you want, here. All you need to do is upload your protected book to your website, or if you prefer, we can host it for you. This results in a 100% automatic process.

Your customer purchases the book, and you set up PayPal so they are automatically sent to register their copy, then automatically sent to download the protected book.

    Talk soon, Roger
