I often use document and PDF sharing sites such as Docstoc.com , Scribd.com , Calameo.com and Slideshare.com to share information with my subscribers and attract traffic. If you choose your keywords carefully it’s often easy to rank extremely high in Google and other search engines. Why?

Because the Google ‘bots are hanging around these respected sites …just waiting for new content to come along they can spider and rank. Surprisingly, it can take as little as 2 minutes to get a page 1 ranking in Google for a PDF document you just uploaded.

This is good, because these document sharing sites allow you to place affiliate and other links inside your documents, wherever you wish.

The key is to use the right keywords and tags to get where you want to be. I just watched a new video showing you how to take a Word document, convert it to PDF free of charge, then use a special free tool to insert metatags into the PDF to get it ranked even higher.

Ebooks have become a popular way for people to make money online. A lot of folks will set up niche websites that offer a related ebook for sale or they might just write several ebooks and place them up for sale on Clickbank for others to promote. The bad news is that the illegal copying of ebooks is increasing at a rapid rate. It’s not fair to you if you’ve put all the work into an ebook, then offer it for sale and have others that steal your work. There are some ways to help protect the security of your eBook to make sure it only gets into the hands of paying consumers.

While you can assume that most internet users are honest people, but there are always others that need to try and get everything for free. One easy way to prevent ebook theft is by registering for a copyright. Although your published work is automatically copyrighted, it doesn’t hurt to register copyright.

Finally, you can choose to have a setting that prevents readers from being able to print out your ebook. If they are able to print it, they could easily sell it themselves or even rewrite the book in a different program and sell it as their own.

It takes a bit of hard work to write and publish your own ebook so you should do all you can to protect it. There will always be dishonest people in the world, but you can try a few of the above tips to help prevent them from stealing your work. With this problem being on the rise, it’s important to stay up to date on all of the things you can do to help protect the digital security of PDFs.

Need to protect PDF files, without using a password. And do it quickly? One easy way to prevent unauthorized circulation of your PDF documents, is to imprint the name of the authorized person or company directly into the PDF, so it cannot be removed.

That way, you should know where the unauthorized release of information originated. At the very least, it makes people a little less willing to distribute PDF files, if they know their name will be all over the PDF document.

Here is a free way to do this;

1. Go to http://Stamp.la

2. Select the PDF file you wish to stamp the name of the company or person on

3. Click UPLOAD FILE to bring the file into the system for processing;

4. Enter the name and email of the person whom you wish to imprint into the PDF document

5. The Stamp.la system will then give you a link for download of the imprinted PDF file

6. Download the PDF

7. When you open the protected PDF file, you can see that the person’s name and email is imprinted on every page, in the lower-left hand corner;

This method of protecting your PDF files is effective to a small degree, we recommend additional PDF methods, such as license code entry and live PDF access monitoring, for more effective PDF security.
