I am currently having similiar problems with G.N.I. Marketing.

Vendor refuses to provide ANY support for another one of their products

"Squeeze Page Creator".

Warning: This product Does Not Work Out Of The Box AS The Vendor Claims!!!

After following the inept installation instructions and uploading the product to discover that the product was malfunctioning. I tried to retrieve password to login to support, no go.
I contacted vendor, who forwarded support link. I finally found my login information and was able to generate support ticket, no reply. I finally contacted Matthew Griffin and he stated:

"I dont know what to tell you other then get a refund man"

Personally I would rather get the support, but apparently they are not willing or capable of backing their products.

Too bad for them I kind of had my eye on one of their higher dollar products, but as far I am concerned at this point, they can flush the high ticket sale!!

Hello Audrey, thanks for your comment. I think it is only a matter of time before iPads and Kindles are attacked by hackers and viruses. Mobile devices will be on the hit list, too.

Kind regards, Roger

Now we have to watch our PDFs? Man, I feel like viruses are everywhere! Thanks for the warning.

I wonder if this would also affect people with iPads or Kindle type devices?

Hello, yes that is true (to a degree) anytime you place anything on a screen for people to view. For example, anyone can take a photo of the screen and publish that. But you're missing the point. The goal is to make it time-consuming and more difficult to do. That stops over 99% of the problem. At a very low cost. And most publishers have the negative experience with zero protection, to know taking some simple, low cost steps are worth it.

Hello Jack - answers for you are below;

Allow for a copy of the book to be physically downloaded?

YES

Detect if the book is being illegally downloaded?

Here's how; Our system works by tracking the IP address of the person who's is opening your files. More than one IP address accessing your file in a short period of time can be a good indicator of file sharing - and something to flag. You can then take a deeper look in your account to see and ask your customer to justify the multi-IP issue. You can then block or allow continued access as you see fit.

Work on Kindle and similar devices.

YES - the advanced version works on all platforms. The basic version only on Windows PCs. For a video on how the advanced version looks and works, please see this "How to Take Your PDF Presentations to the Next Level" video at the bottom of the page, here; http://bookguardpro.com/support.php

Allow me to cancel the book if necessary

YES

Also could you please let me know how the protected book is normally held prior to being purchased.

On your server, where you have uploaded the exe or ZIP file to. Then it is accessed by the purchaser, from a link to the file on your server. There are alternate arrangements we can discuss with you if you need.

Hope to see your order soon, on www.bookguardpro.com

Talk soon, Roger
